"There were 14 people in line at the front desk at 4:30 in the afternoon when we arrived to check in. It took the desk clerk 40 minutes to get to us and get us a key, despite the fact that we had a prepaid reservation. While waiting, I went to use the restroom in the lobby, which was literally overflowing with toilet paper and solid waste and was completely disgusting and unusable. The desk clerk told us to go get the bellman to get our bags out of the baggage holding area ourselves, as she was too busy. In the room itself, the TV didn't work, the bedframes were both broken, and the bathroom had a serious hill in the floor that would have caused my 70-year-old mother to fall, had she been with us. The Chicago Travelodge makes Motel 6 look good."

"The Travelodge is in need up a serious face lift. The carpet in our room was very dingy -- I didn't like to walk in my barefeet."
