"This really could be a fantastic hotel if they took attention to the details. At the moment it sits in a middle ground of neither being a small exclusive luxury hotel or a chain hotel with no distinction where you know what your getting. This so easily could be the most exclusive hotel in Chicago if a little extra flair and panache was used. In the past it has had a top notch reputation but this has been lost in time. Saying all this, It is a very nice hotel with above average character and resident care and I would certainly use it on my trips to Chicago as it has a much more personal feel to it unlike the Four Seasons over the road."

"1. The room was not ready until after 4PM . We arrived at 2PM and the front desk could not (or would not) give us an apperoximate time that we would havwe the room.
2. The electrical outlet for the hair dryer did not work.
3. The mirrored door on the closet was not operating properly.
We have stayed here many times before. This is the first time I felt the upkeep was slipping."

"Room was noisy, hall doors and maid carts were banging at 8:00AM during the weekend. Not good."
